Disappearing Emails
We received a phone call from a school that was constantly having an issue both mysterious and frustrating. Occasionally emails they would send were getting lost, never arriving at their destinations and likewise emails being sent to them would seemingly fall off the edge of the earth.
We were able to look at the message details on several of their emails and eventually trace their problems back to an ancient email server being ran by a company who hadn't updated it in ages. The school didn't want to switch to anything because they were getting a deal with this company, charging them only cents per mailbox they hosted – or at least the school thought they were getting a deal.
We are well versed in many technologies, but one of our favorites for education is Office 365. We told the school that Office 365 was free for education, meaning the deal they were receiving from this old email server wasn't actually a deal at all. We were able to move the school to Office 365, which resolved all issues they were having with their emails. Two years later, the school is still on Office 365, still completely for free and they are loving it. We love it too. Office 365 is a fantastic tool and something we love to introduce to our education customers to help solve a large chunk of their business needs. And the fact that it's free is just the icing on top of the cake.
